Welcome to Tridents Baseball

A Developmental Travel Program for 5th–8th Grade Student-Athletes

Tridents Baseball is a competitive select and travel baseball program for players ages 11 to 14, covering grades 5 through 8. The program serves as a developmental pathway for student-athletes who aspire to play high school baseball, with a focus on skill development, character-building, and competitive excellence.

Tridents is a joint initiative between NBBA, Corona Del Mar High School, and Sage Hill School, with Corona Del Mar High School (CDM) as the primary sponsor and guiding force. The program is strategically designed to prepare players for the expectations, culture, and style of high school baseball—particularly within the CDM baseball program.

To develop fundamentally sound, mentally tough, and team-oriented athletes who are prepared to succeed at the high school level and beyond. We foster a competitive yet supportive environment where players grow as athletes and young men.

To foster well-rounded student-athletes who are skilled, confident, and resilient—ready to thrive in high school baseball and contribute positively to their teams, schools, and communities.


Program Structure

  • Teams by Age Group: 11U, 12U, 13U, and 14U
  • Seasons: Fall and Spring (separate tryouts), with optional winter workouts and summer tournaments
  • Practice Location: Local fields, including CDM and Sage Hill School facilities
  • Coaching: Led by experienced coaches, including high school staff, former MLB players, college players, and local experts
  • Games: Competitive league play and tournament play throughout Southern California
